Avoid one fixed time offset for the whole year
The UK and Turkey use different clock arrangements. Start with automatic date and time and the correct device region. Do not apply a single offset found online to every programme entry. First understand the time basis used by the guide source, then compare the programme title and actual start on the same channel. Around seasonal clock changes, checking several channels helps avoid changing an otherwise correct device clock.
Distinguish live schedules from catch-up
Missing a programme does not mean that every channel offers catch-up. TimeShift and archive support depend on the content, while a VOD version is a separate possibility. For an important match or show, confirm the live schedule and channel beforehand. A rewind button in the app does not prove that a live source has an archive. Base your viewing plans on the features that are actually available.
Test where the television is located
Wi-Fi behind a television in a London flat may perform differently from a speed test beside the router. The city name does not determine that link’s quality. Compare wired and wireless playback on the same device and note other downloads. If using mobile data, consider both allowance and stability. Sharing device, player, internet provider, throughput and the time of the issue is more useful than saying only that playback is delayed.
If device time is correct, check any separate EPG offset. Applying the same correction in two places can create another error. Compare several programme entries again after making a change.
