Keep four kinds of information separate

The MAC shown by an app may differ from the hardware MAC in the television’s network settings. A Device ID identifies the application’s device record; a Device Key may control access to that record. The IPTV account instead contains a personal playlist URL or server, username and password. Read what each field requests. A device key and an IPTV password are not interchangeable.

Select the portal by product

IBO Player Pro’s playlist management at iboplayer.pro uses MAC and Device Key. Duplecast’s licence information involves Device ID and Device Key under Settings → License. HotPlayer uses its own device/MAC management, with additional checks determined by the installed app. Do not switch to a portal for a merely similar name. Match the TV app to the developer domain in the browser.

Save the list and refresh on the TV

After successful device verification in the correct portal, add the personal IPTV link in the supported playlist field. Save KAPTAN IPTV as the name. Then refresh the TV app or close and reopen it. If the change is missing, check that you edited the correct device record. Creating another record with the wrong key or adding the same list repeatedly makes troubleshooting more confusing.

Licensing and safe support details

The device portal may also sell a software licence, which does not replace an IPTV subscription. Check what product a payment activates. Hide keys and personal playlist URLs in screenshots. The exact app, device model, version and error message are often enough for an initial support check. Share additional details only where needed in the correct private support conversation.

Do not reuse an old television’s device code

A device-based player’s identity should not be assumed to match a second television in the same home. Open the app on the new device and check the details it displays. Similar product names do not make IBO, Duplecast and HotPlayer portals interchangeable. Ask the developer whether the licence is tied to a device rather than assuming it transfers automatically. Keep personal playlist details separate from device codes and understand which information support needs before sharing it.

When activation succeeds but the list stays empty

An activation confirmation may concern only the player licence or device registration. Channels may still be absent if the content list has not been added separately. Check the selected device, saved playlist and app refresh. Open the portal through the official developer source rather than entering account details on a similarly named payment page found in search. If the catalogue loads but video does not, investigate subscription access and playback separately. Buying the same activation repeatedly is not a meaningful troubleshooting step.
