Match the app to the device
Check the official TiviMate source for your Android TV or Google TV device. Do not assume the TV interface provides the same experience on a phone or tablet. Paying for player features does not extend your Kaptan subscription or increase its connection allowance. Before buying a player licence, confirm that the app opens on the device and offers the login method you need.
Before installing TiviMate, confirm that you are using Android TV or a compatible Fire TV platform. Do not expect the same Android application to be available on Samsung Tizen or LG webOS. The player may open with an empty screen because it does not supply a channel subscription. Your provider’s Xtream Codes credentials or M3U link must be added separately.
Add the playlist before checking EPG
Open the add-playlist screen and use the personal M3U URL or separate Xtream account fields offered by your version. Keep the server URL, username and password in the correct fields. Use KAPTAN IPTV as the playlist name. Once channels load, play one live channel. If playback works but listings are empty, check the EPG source, refresh state and device clock rather than purchasing another subscription.
With Xtream Codes, enter the complete server URL, username and password in their corresponding fields. With M3U, paste the full playlist link without trimming its beginning. Label the profile KAPTAN IPTV so that it remains recognisable if you save more than one list. If the programme guide does not appear, refresh the EPG or add a separately supplied guide URL where supported.
Favourites, buffer and playback checks
Create favourites first so daily viewing does not require searching the entire catalogue. If playback buffers, compare another live channel and a VOD item. Increasing a buffer may increase delay without fixing a faulty source. Change available decoding or player options one at a time and record the result. Stop playback on other devices to keep the single simultaneous connection limit from interfering with your test.
TiviMate Premium is a player licence, not a replacement for the content subscription. Favourites, category hiding and startup behaviour can make the TV interface easier to use. Use clear names when managing playlists
Naming the new playlist KAPTAN IPTV makes it easier to distinguish from other sources. With Xtream, put the server, username and password in their separate fields; with M3U, use the complete personal URL supplied for that method. Do not combine the two on the same entry screen. Spaces or incorrect characters can appear when transferring a URL to the television. Check the entered details without publishing screenshots containing passwords. Keep the player payment separate from access to the content subscription.
Confirm access before organising EPG and favourites
After setup, try several live channels and VOD items before investing time in extensive favourites. Resolve list or login problems first. If EPG times differ, inspect timezone and source matching. Some controls depend on the TiviMate version or licence, so do not assume every menu shown online exists on your device. Keeping the working setup details securely makes reinstallation after an update or device change easier without confusing the service account with the player’s own account.
