MAG and Formuler IPTV setup: portal versus player login

Identify the model and access method

Record the exact model, software version and interface name. A MAG portal screen is not equivalent to the M3U input in an Android application. Formuler features also vary between models.

Do not guess a portal address before portal access has been confirmed. Pasting a playlist URL into a portal field does not convert it into a compatible portal.

Understand MAC registration

A portal account may require the provider to register the device MAC address. This is different from the MAC and Device Key used by an independent player’s management portal. Ask support which system needs each piece of information.

Use the portal or account details specifically issued for your device. Copying or changing another device’s MAC address is not an appropriate setup workaround.

Follow the app method when using Android

If the device supports compatible Android players, M3U or Xtream may be available through the selected app. The application determines which fields are required. Use KAPTAN IPTV as the list name where requested.

Hardware, player licences and content subscriptions are separate products. A portal account does not automatically include additional app login credentials.

Test each supported feature separately

Check the channel list, programme guide and VOD independently. Recording or rewinding should only be expected when both the source and device support it. Keep to one concurrent connection while testing.

For troubleshooting, provide the model, interface name and exact error. Keep portal passwords and personal account details out of public screenshots.

FAQ
